Popcorn Gone Nuts
Popcorn Gone Nuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 to 2 bags popped microwave popcorn, 1 c. peanuts, 2 sticks margarine, 1 1/3 c. sugar and 1/2 c. light corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Butter large, shallow pan with sides; put aside.
Combine popcorn and nuts in a large bowl.
Combine margarine, sugar and corn syrup in 2-quart saucepan.
Bring mixture to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Quickly pour syrup mixture over popcorn; gently stir to coat evenly.
Spread in buttered pan to cool.
Cool completely. Break into bite-sized pieces.
