Popcorn Crumble
Popcorn Crumble is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 qt. unsalted popped corn, picked over for unpopped kernels, 1 1/3 c. pecan halves, 2/3 c. sliced almonds, 1 1/3 c. sugar and 1 c. margarine (butter does not produce as nice a syrup but will work), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix popcorn and nuts in large bowl and set aside.
Combine sugar, margarine and corn syrup in heavy saucepan.
Bring to boil; stir constantly and cook to 300Β° on candy thermometer.
Add vanilla and quickly pour over popcorn mixture.
Stir to coat well and spread on buttered cookie sheet to harden.
