Popcorn Cake Delight
Popcorn Cake Delight is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 c. freshly popped popcorn, unsalted, 3/4 c. sugar, 3/4 c. finely packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Place popcorn in a large bowl and set aside.
Combine sugar, syrup, water, vinegar and salt in a large saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture reaches hard ball stage (260Β°). Remove from heat. Add butter, stirring until butter melts.
Pour syrup in a thin stream over popcorn, stirring until popcorn is evenly coated.
Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well.
Press mixture into a well-greased 6-cup ring mold.
Cool. Unmold on serving plate.
