Popcorn Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/3 c. white corn syrup, 1/3 c. water, 1/4 c. butter and 3/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cook and stir sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.
Without stirring, continue cooking until syrup forms a brittle ball when a drop is tested in cold water.
Add small quantity of vanilla, stirring only enough to mix it through the hot syrup.
Pour hot syrup over popped corn and mix. Moisten hands and, with quick action, shape to desired form. (Color syrup with cake coloring if desired.)
