Poor Man's Cake
Poor Man'S Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box raisins, 2 c. water, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening and 1 c. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cook raisins with water for 15 minutes.
Add sugar, shortening and cold water.
Stir until sugar and shortening are dissolved. Cool.
Then add salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and flour. Mix well by hand.
Pour into a greased cake pan and bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes or until done when pressed.
