Poor Man Cookies
Poor Man Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. water, 1 c. raisins, 2 c. flour, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cloves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Boil water and raisins together until 1 cup remains; let cool. Add to juice and raisins with 1/2 cup salad oil and 1 egg. slightly beaten. Add nuts if desired.
Spread on large cookie sheet with sides (grease cookie sheet).
Bake at 325Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Ice with icing and cut in squares.
