Poor Boy Cookies
Poor Boy Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chopped dates, 1/2 c. crisco, 1 1/4 c. water, 2 chopped apples and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Simmer dates, Crisco, water and apples for 15 minutes and let cool.
Mix remaining ingredients and then add to other mixture.
Greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
A thin powdered sugar icing. Cut in squares and these can be frozen.
