Polish Pound Cake
Polish Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1/2 c. crisco, 2 sticks oleo, 3 c. flour (sift three times) and 1 small can carnation milk (add water to make 1 cup), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream Crisco, oleo and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each time.
Add flour alternately with milk, ending with flour.
Add flavoring, nuts and cherries.
(Cherries should be well drained and rolled in flour.)
Bake in greased tube pan.
Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325Β°.
Cake should start in cold oven.
