Pocketbook Rolls
Pocketbook Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1 c. warm water (105~ to 115~), 2 c. flour, 3 tbsp. powdered milk and 3 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Dissolve yeast into warm water.
Sift together and mix the flour, milk, sugar and salt.
Let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
Knead in enough flour to keep dough from sticking to hands.
Pat or roll out and cut with small orange juice can. Dip in melted butter.
Fold into pocketbooks.
Allow to rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Bake at 400Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
May be frozen after this step.
When taken from freezer, allow 3 hours to thaw and rise.
