Plum Kuchen
Plum Kuchen is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. sugar, divided, 2 eggs, 3/4 tsp. almond extract and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream butter or margarine with 1/2 cup of the sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add extracts.
Beat well.
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
Blend into creamed mixture.
Spoon into greased round 9-inch cake pan 2 inches deep.
Cut plums in half.
Arrange cut side down on top of batter.
Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sprinkle over plums.
Bake at 400Β° for 30 minutes.
