Plain Cupcakes
Plain Cupcakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2/3 c. milk and 1 3/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter and add the sugar gradually, stirring until well mixed.
Stir in beaten eggs.
Add the milk alternately with the flour (which has been sifted before measuring and sifted again with the baking powder) and salt.
When the batter is smooth, add the vanilla.
Bake at 375Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Yields 15 (2 3/4-inch) cupcakes.
Ice if you want to, but these are delicious uniced.
