Plain Biscuits
Plain Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/4 c. fat, 1 tsp. salt and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.
Put shortening into flour mixture.
Add milk to flour mixture.
Stir quickly with a fork just enough to make a soft dough.
Put dough on lightly floured board and knead 6 to 8 times, forming a ball.
Roll dough 1/4-inch thick and cut with floured cutter.
Place biscuits on baking sheet.
Bake at 425Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 12 to 14 biscuits.
