Pizza Dough
Pizza Dough is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 3/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. warm water (105~ to 115~), 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. salt and 2 tbsp. vegetable shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Dissolve yeast in measuring cup with warm water.
Stir together flour and salt in large mixing bowl.
Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in dissolved yeast.
Turn out onto lightly floured board or pastry cloth and knead just until smooth.
Place dough in large greased bowl; turn once to grease top.
Cover and let rise in warm draft-free area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down.
Divide dough in half.
On floured surface, roll each half into an 11-inch circle.
Place rounds on greased 12-inch pizza pans.
Make pizza as desired. Bake at 400Β°. Makes 2 pizzas.
