Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 5 to 7 slices pineapple, 1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix for one layer or 1/2 regular size pkg., 1/2 c. brown sugar and maraschino cherries (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt butter, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons pineapple syrup in a 10-inch round cake pan.
Remove from heat.
Arrange pineapple and cherries in mixture.
Prepare batter as directed on cake package.
Pour over mixture in the pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Invert onto serving plate.
Allow 2 to 3 minutes before removing pan.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
