Pineapple Surprise Salad
Pineapple Surprise Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (15 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello, 1 c. cold water and 1 c. grated mild cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Boil the can of crushed pineapple (juice and all) with 1/3 cup sugar until sugar is well dissolved.
Mix lemon jello with 1 cup water.
Add pineapple mixture; let stand in refrigerator until mixture is almost jelled.
Add Cheddar cheese, Cool Whip and chopped pecans.
Stir until well blended.
Let jell overnight before serving.
