Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
Beat until fluffy the shortening, sugar and brown sugar; add pineapple, vanilla, eggs and nuts.
Add dry ingredients and blend well.
Drop by teaspoonful on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
