Pineapple Cream Cake

Made with 1 box yellow pudding cake mix, 1 large can crushed pineapple, 1 c. sugar, 1 large box instant vanilla pudding and 1 (12 oz.) container cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Prepare cake according to directions on box.
Pour into a 13 x 10-inch pan.
Combine crushed pineapple and sugar in boiler; cook for 5 minutes.

Mix vanilla pudding as directed on box.
Pour over cake.
Cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle coconut on top.
