Pinakbet
Pinakbet is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. beef, cut into 1-inch cubes, 1/2 c. water, 1/3 c. bagoong, 1/2 c. sliced tomatoes and 2 cloves garlic, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Combine all ingredients except eggplant, bitter-melon and okra.
Bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer, covered, until beef is tender.
Add eggplant, bitter-melon and okra; cook for 15 minutes.
If using canned bitter-melon, add last 3 minutes of cooking.
