Perfect Pie Crust is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 3/4 c. solid vegetable shortening, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 1 tbsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix flour, sugar, salt and shortening until crumbly.
Mix in cup, the water, egg and vinegar.
Combine the two mixtures and mix until all the ingredients are moistened.
Divide into 5 portions. Wrap each in plastic wrap and chill at least 1/2 hour before rolling out.
Dough keeps 3 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen.
Bake pie shells at 400Β° until golden brown.
Makes 5 pie shells.
