Peppermint Dessert
Peppermint Dessert is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. peppermint stick candy, 1/2 c. light cream, 1/2 tbsp. unflavored gelatin dissolved in 1 tbsp. cold water, 1 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped and 1 (9 or 10 oz.) can chocolate wafers, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Crush candy; add light cream and heat in double boiler until candy dissolves.
Add gelatin dissolved in cold water.
Chill until partially set.
Fold in whipped cream.
Break chocolate wafers in half and stand around outside of 9-inch square pan. Place layer of wafers in bottom of pan; spread remaining gelatin mixture and top with crushed wafers.
Chill 12 hours.
Cut in squares.
Serves 9.
