Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with round steak, flour, salt, pepper, 1 or 2 envelopes lipton's beefy onion soup, 4 to 8 c. water and 1 to 2 bell peppers, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Trim fat from round steak on all edges; cut meat in lengthwise strips; coat meat in flour, salt and pepper mixture.
Brown meat in oil.
Add soup mix and 4 cups of water.
Simmer for at least 1 hour; until meat is tender.
Add extra water as needed.
Add bell peppers cut into strips, cook until peppers turn color, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Thicken with cornstarch and water.
Serve over rice.
