Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in strips, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 envelope lipton onion soup mix, 2 c. water and 2 medium green bell peppers, cut into thin strips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Into thin strips. In skillet heat shortening and brown meat, turning frequently. Stir in onion soup and 2 cups water. and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in peppers. Simmer, covered, minutes or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch with water.
Into skillet.
Cook, stirring, until thickened. Serve over rice or noodles.
