Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak, 3 tbsp. shortening, 1/2 c. soy sauce, 2 1/2 c. water and onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut steak into small cubes.
Brown in shortening about 5 minutes or until tender.
Add soy sauce and water; simmer about 10 minutes.
Add onion; simmer 5 minutes.
Add peppers; cook until tender.
Thicken with cornstarch and serve over steamed rice. Makes 4 servings.
