Penuche Icing
Penuche Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/4 c. milk, 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar and 1 1/3 c. to 2 c. confectioners sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Melt butter or margarine and brown sugar in a saucepan.
Boil over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Cool to lukewarm. Gradually add confectioners sugar, beating until thick enough to spread.
If icing becomes too thick to spread, add a little milk or hot water.
