Penuche(Candy) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 2 c. white sugar, dash of salt, 2 tbsp. light corn syrup and 1/3 stick butter (margarine), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cook brown sugar, white sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter, canned milk and water to soft ball.
Remove from stove and add nuts and vanilla.
Place pan in cold water to aid cooling process; stir occasionally.
As candy loses it shine, pour into a buttered pie pan.
Cut candy while still a little soft.
