Penuche is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. nuts, 2 c. light brown sugar, 1 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. sweet milk and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix sugar and milk together and cook until it forms a soft ball in water.
Remove from stove and add a piece of butter the size of a walnut.
Add vanilla.
Stir in nuts and pour out on a greased platter to cool.
Cut into squares.
