Penoche is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 2 c. white sugar, 1 1/2 c. pet milk, 2 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix sugars and milk well.
Bring to the boiling point, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Cook to 236Β° or until a small amount when dropped into cold water will form a soft ball.

When cold, cut into squares.
