Pecan Turtles
Pecan Turtles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. light brown sugar (packed), 2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 c. light corn syrup and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Melt butter in heavy saucepan.
Stir in sugar, condensed milk, corn syrup and salt.
Bring to a boil, stirring.
Reduce heat to very low.
Cook, stirring almost constantly, for 25 to 30 minutes or until candy thermometer registers 245Β° or a small amount of mixture dropped in very cold water forms a firm ball.
Take care to prevent sticking.
