Pecan Surprise Bar
Pecan Surprise Bar is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix, 1/2 c. melted oleo, 4 eggs, 1 c. pecans and 1/2 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix.
Combine remaining cake mix with oleo and 1 egg.
Mix until crumbly.
Press into well-greased 11 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Combine reserved 2/3 cake mix with remaining 3 eggs, brown sugar, syrup and vanilla.
Beat at medium speed 1 to 2 minutes.
Pour over baked crust.
Sprinkle with pecans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is set.
Cool and cut into bars.
