Pecan Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. butter, 1 egg, slightly beaten, 2 c. sifted flour and 1 egg, well beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream together 1 cup brown sugar and butter.
Add egg. Gradually add flour.
Spread on cookie sheet.
Brush on 1 egg. Sprinkle on 1/2 cup brown sugar.
Sprinkle on pecans.
Sprinkle on 1/2 cup brown sugar.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 or 25 minutes (allow them to cool before cutting).
Makes approximately 24 cookies.
