Pecan Puffs
Pecan Puffs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. shortening, 1/4 c. butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. pecans and 1 c. cake flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening and butter until very soft, add sugar and cream well.
Add vanilla.
Measure nuts, then chop very fine (use blender or food processor). Combine with flour and stir creamed mixture.
Form into small balls, place them on ungreased baking sheet and bake in slow oven at 300Β° for about 45 minutes.
Roll while hot in powdered sugar.
When cold, roll again in powdered sugar.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
