Beat together the first 4 ingredients until crumbly.
Press into a greased 15 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 1/2 jelly roll pan, bake at 350°f. 180°c. gas mark 4 for 20 minutes.
Beat together the eggs, sugar, karo syrup, melted margarine and vanilla, add pecans, pour over the crust and bake for a further 25 minutes or until set.
