Pecan Pie
Pecan Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3 eggs, beaten, 1/2 c. broken pecans plus pecan halves and 2/3 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
Add salt, syrup, eggs and vanilla; mix all together.
In an unbaked pie shell, put in nuts and also arrange the whole pecans in a design as they will rise to the top of pie.
Pour filling over pecans. Bake in 450° oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350° and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife can be inserted in center and comes out clean.
Makes an 8-inch pie.
