Pecan Pie
Pecan Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. light brown sugar (use dark brown sugar if you like darker pie), 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. light corn syrup, 3 eggs, well beaten and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add next four ingredients and mix well.
Add coarsely broken nutmeats.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in preheated 450° oven for 5 minutes.
Reduce heat and bake at 350° until filling is firm.
I put strips of foil on edge of pie crust to keep from browning too much.
