Pecan Karo Pie
Pecan Karo Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. light corn syrup, 1 tsp.vanilla and 1 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Brown butter in iron skillet.
Remove from heat and add the sugar, stirring until well blended.
Mix eggs and corn syrup with sugar and butter.
Beat thoroughly.
Add vanilla, salt and chopped nuts.
Mix well.
Place in unbaked pie shell.
Cook for 10 minutes at 425°.
Reduce heat to 350° and cook until a silver knife inserted in center of filling comes out clean.
