Pecan Drops
Pecan Drops is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. pecans, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 c. confectioners sugar and 2 1/2 c. cake flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Heat oven to 325Β°.
Chop pecans rather coarsely.
Cream butter and shortening until smooth, then beat in confectioners sugar gradually.
Stir in flour thoroughly; add vanilla and pecans.
Mix well.
Roll in balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until delicately brown.
Roll again in confectioners sugar.
