Pear Preserves
Pear Preserves is an easy dinner. Made with 16 c. peeled, sliced pears, 4 c. sugar, juice of 1 lemon and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In large pot, simmer all ingredients over medium heat approximately 45 minutes, until pears are tender and syrup is thick.
Ladle into hot sterilized jars to 1/4-inch from top.
Boil lids and seal.
Process 5 minutes in boiling water bath, if desired.
Makes 4 1/2 pints (9 cups).
