Peanut Caramel Chews
Peanut Caramel Chews is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels, 3 tbsp. milk, 4 c. sugar frosted flakes cereal and 1/2 c. salted peanuts, cut up into small pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Butter a 9-inch square baking pan.
Combine milk and caramels in saucepan.
Heat until melted and stir until smooth.
Combine cereal and peanuts.
Pour melted caramel over cereal mixture, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.
Press firmly into pan with buttered hands.
Refrigerate until firm.
Then let stand at room temperature about 10 minutes; cut into squares.
Store in airtight container.
Makes 25 squares.
