Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. sugar, 2 c. light karo syrup, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. water and 4 1/2 c. raw peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a 3 quart pot, mix 4 cups sugar, 2 cups Karo syrup, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 cup water.
Mix and cook to 230°.
Add 4 1/2 cups raw peanuts.
Cook to 300°.
Add 1 tablespoon oleo and 2 teaspoons soda.
This will make it foam!
Remove from heat and pour onto well greased cookie sheets.
Work fast!
Makes 4 1/2 pounds.
