Peanut Brittle

Cook together sugar, syrup and water to a hard ball stage (250Β°).
Add peanuts and butter and cook to a light caramel color (about 7 1/2 minutes over medium heat).
Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda.
Stir quickly and pour out on buttered foil. Let cool.
