Peanut Brittle

Combine sugar, water and syrup in a skillet.
Let cook until it hangs from a thread off a spoon; add peanuts.
Cook until syrup is light amber color.
Stir in butter.
Remove from heat.
Stir in soda quickly.
Pour into greased pan and let cool.
Makes 2 pounds.
