Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. dark karo syrup, 1/2 c. cold water, 2 tbsp. butter and 3/4 lb. or 2 c. peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix sugar, Karo syrup and cold water.
Cook to 242° on candy thermometer.
Stir occasionally.
Remove from heat; add butter and peanuts.
Continue cooking to 292°.
Remove from heat and add 1 rounded teaspoonful baking soda.
Mix quickly and pour onto buttered pan or pans.
Cool slightly and pull until thin.
Cool. Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
