👨‍🍳 Instructions

Have marble slab cold and greased with oleo.

Place sugar, syrup, hot water and paraffin in deep saucepan.

Cook over medium heat until sugar is well dissolved.

Add peanuts and continue cooking, stirring occasionally to 295° to 300° on candy thermometer.

Remove from heat and add soda all at once. Immediately stir vigorously until soda is well distributed.

Pour onto marble slab and let cool.

When candy is cold, with knife, turn whole slab of candy over.

With knife handle, break into pieces.

Store in airtight container and keep in cool place.
