Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. hot water, 1/2 c. white syrup, 1 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/16 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix water, sugar, syrup and salt in a saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to a boil; boil for 3 minutes. Continue cooking until syrup takes on a rich caramel color at 320°.
Have peanuts spread out on a 12 x 12 x 19-inch buttered shallow enamel ware pan, a marble slab or an enamel kitchen top. When candy gets to 320° stir in butter and soda.
Stir well and quickly pour out on peanuts.
Let cool and break.
