Put water, Karo syrup and sugar in medium pan.

Do not stir. Cook until spins a thread on medium heat.

Do not rush or stir, then add peanuts and butter.

Cook until nuts are done.

Watch for color to change.

Very important.

When nuts are done golden brown, very quickly add the vanilla and soda.

Stir very fast. Pour into large pan and shake to smooth.

Pan needs to be buttered before pouring brittle into it.
