Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. raw peanuts, 1/2 c. hot water, 1/2 c. white karo syrup, 1 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 stick margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix sugar, Karo syrup and water in heavy skillet.
Cook about 10 minutes (until you see a white string thread), stirring occasionally.
Add peanuts; cook about 8 minutes or until mixture turns light caramel color (stir constantly).
Add margarine and stir real fast until margarine melts.
Add baking soda; stir until well mixed.
Pour onto a heavily buttered platter or cookie sheet. Let cool then break into pieces.
