Use electric skillet at 400Β°.

Add sugar, syrup and butter; stir until sugar is dissolved (about 5 minutes), then add peanuts. Cook, stirring constantly, about 5 to 7 minutes.

"Do not brown." Then add soda.

Cut off heat; stir fast and pour onto buttered cookie sheet.

When cool, break into pieces.
