Pastry is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. crisco (white), 1 egg, 1 tbsp. vinegar and 4 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cut Crisco into flour until pieces are size of peas.
Add 1 egg and vinegar.
Mix a little and add water.
If it feels too sticky, add a little more flour.
Roll out on floured surface, adding a little more flour.
Roll around rolling pin to lift onto pie dish. Makes 2 layers.
Any left over, freeze until you have enough for 1 more layer.
Bake at 425Β° for about 12 minutes or according to pie directions.
