Party Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 eggs and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla; add soda and salt to flour.
Stir to blend.
Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Mix well.
Stir in 1/2 cup M&M's (reserve remaining M&M's for decorating).
Drop by teaspoon into 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
