Parmesan Breadsticks
Parmesan Breadsticks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/3 c. grated parmesan cheese, 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 3/4 c. milk and 2 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of the flour, the Parmesan cheese and yeast.
In saucepan, heat milk, shortening, sugar and salt just until warm (115° to 120°), stirring constantly to melt shortening.
Add to dry mixture in mixing bowl.
Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
By hand, stir in enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough.
Shape into a ball.
Place in lightly greased bowl, turning once to grease surface.
